Beyoncé Partners With Goodwill To Create Jobs For America
Beyonce is again teaming with Goodwill on the second leg of her "The Mrs. Carter Show" tour, following the success of their partnership this summer.
Bey is asking concertgoers to donate old clothes at concerts after collecting 27,500 pounds of clothing during the tour's first leg.
Goodwill then sold the items in stores across the country to finance its employment programs for people with disabilities and other disadvantages.
"I am excited to team up once again with Goodwill in supporting their efforts in finding and creating jobs for families in need," Beyonce said in a statement.
The first 100 ticketholders that donate win the chance to be upgraded to the BeyStage or BeyHive VIP areas.
"We're proud that Beyonce is using her platform to share the positive impact Goodwill has on local communities, the environment and the lives of the millions of people," Goodwill CEO Jim Gibbons remarked.
