Rod Stewart Inducted Into Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame

Rod Stewart is the latest rock and roll legend to be inducted into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame. The website conducts reader polls in tourney style matches to determine its monthly winners.

The final match featured Rod facing off against Led Zeppelin, with the former gaining nearly 55% of UCR readers' votes. Earlier in the voting, Stewart defeated Bob Seger and Santana. Zep also faced and beat Yes and Black Sabbath.

Past inductees have included the Kinks, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, T. Rex and George Harrison.

Stewart is currently prepping for his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. The run begins November 6 and continues through November 24. After that, he and Steve Winwood will pick up their joint tour on December 4 at Boston's TD Garden.
