Paul McCartney Invites Surviving Members Of Nirvana Onstage In Seattle
Paul McCartney invited three former members of Nirvana - Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear - onstage at his Seattle gig over the weekend to play the Beatles classics "Helter Skelter," "Get Back," "Long Tall Sally," "Golden Slumbers," "Carry That Weight" and "The End."
Macca also had the trio onstage to perform "Cut Me Some Slack" for the show's encore. The boys recorded the song last year for Grohl's documentary Sound City.
They later played the track together for during a Saturday Night Live performance and again for the 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy relief concert, although the latter performance did not feature Smear.
The show at Seattle's Safeco Field, however, marked the first time Sir Paul, Grohl, Novoselic and Smear played several tracks together.
Fan shot video of "Long Tall Sally" is currently circulating the web.
