3 Doors Down Cancel Tour Dates Following Bassist's Arrest
3 Doors Down have canceled their next four tour dates following the arrest of bass player Todd Harrell, who was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter after his vehicle clipped a pickup truck, sending it over an embankment and killed its driver.
After failing a field sobriety test, Harrell admitted to police that he had been drinking and taking prescription painkillers.
The band issued a statement, offering their condolences to the dead man's family, and listing the canceled dates:
"Out of respect to Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr., and his family, 3 Doors Down has canceled the band's four scheduled U.S. April and May appearances. They will resume touring May 31 in Moscow, and return to the U.S. for scheduled dates in July."
The canceled dates include stops in Bossier City, Louisiana, Nashville, and two music festivals: Rockville in Jacksonville, Florida, and Carolina Rebellion in Charlotte, North Carolina.
