Beyoncé Gets Boulevard In Bermuda Named After Her

The accolades and honors keep coming for Beyoncé, as she now has a boulevard in Bermuda named after her.

The new walkway at the National Sports Centre was originally nicknamed Beyoncé Boulevard by construction workers, as it marks the spot where the singer made her entrance at the 2008 Music Festival there.

According to the site's Facility Manager, Trevor Madeiros, a Beyoncé Boulevard street sign put up last week is not official.

"We had to tidy up the driveway for her to come through to perform - it was a construction site at the time," he told Bermuda's Royal Gazette.

"Somebody called it Beyoncé Boulevard and everybody started using it . . . So many people use the name when giving directions to visitors that it finally got its own sign. It's nothing really official. It's an internal thing that we put up ourselves."
