Jon Bon Jovi Touches On What He Thinks Of The Current State Of Music

Jon Bon Jovi recently spoke with British magazine Star and offered his opinion on the current state of music, including how he thinks that people aren't paying attention to music like they used to.

"The young boy band thing has its place," Bon Jovi said. "But you can't compare One Direction to the likes of Adele or Mumford & Sons. Their talent is invigorating. I'm glad to see talent continuing because I worry this generation isn't paying that much attention to music."

He added that, with shows like American Idol and X Factor, talent doesn't get the chance to mature on its own.

"It's hard because they're thrust into a huge spotlight and they're expected to have a record on a par with the greats six weeks later."
