Pink Sued Over Past Royalties

Pink has been slapped with a lawsuit to the tune of $36,213.31 by her former producers over unpaid royalties.

Specialists Entertainment filed the suit against Pink in New York last month (December), alleging that the pop star signed a deal with them and Thunderstone Productions to produce songs on her debut album, Can't Take Me Home, back in 1999. Fourteen years later, the company is still waiting for their half of the producers' royalties for Pink's songs "Can't Take Me Home" and "Hiccup."

The album sold five million copies and helped start her career. SE claims that they were never given any royalties for the sales and are now suing.

A rep for Pink addressed the legal battle, claiming it's the singer's record label that is responsible for the unpaid royalties, not Pink herself. "Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
