Keith Urban Receives Nashville Symphony's Harmony Award

Keith Urban received the 2012 Nashville Symphony Harmony Award at a ceremony Saturday night (December 8) at the city's Schermerhorn Symphony Center for his contributions to the local music scene.

"I feel that Nashville is just opening up and letting the rest of the world know that this is Music City USA," Keith tells Country Weekly of the honor.

"We have the expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame going on, a wonderful symphony, all styles of music happening here. Even our genre of country music is expanding exponentially. This award represents the synergy of all the music in Nashville and all of us coming together. I've always wanted to give back to the community after living here for so many years. This award is very important to me. It's very sweet."

Keith is currently in the studio working on his next album.
