Beyoncé Signs $50 Million Deal With Pepsi

Beyoncé has inked a $50 million dollar deal with Pepsi that will see the singer serve as a brand ambassador for the soft drink by starring in its commercials and having her face printed on its soda cans. Pepsi will also establish a multimillion-dollar fund to support Lady Bey's creative endeavors.

"Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve," Bey said in a statement. "As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity."

Following her scheduled performance at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 3 (also sponsored by Pepsi), Bey will appear in a new TV ad - her fifth for the soft drink since 2002 - and her face will get printed on a limited-edition line of soda cans.

"Consumers are seeking a much greater authenticity in marketing from the brands they love," Brad Jakeman, president of PepsiCo's global beverage group added in a statement regarding the deal.
