Kings Of Leon To Headline Portugal's Optimus Alive 2013

Kings of Leon have been announced as the second headliner for the upcoming Optimus Alive 2013 festival at Portugal's Passeio Maritimo de Alges. Kings take the stage on July 14 when they are scheduled to close out the event.

The band joins Depeche Mode, the first announced headliner for the fest. DM takes the stage on the day before Kings of Leon (July 13).

KOL was last in Europe in 2011, when they did a stadium tour of the U.K. along with a headlining gig at the Isle of Wight Festival. Currently, the Followill boys are working on a new album, aiming for a 2013 release.

The 6th annual Music and Arts fest, Optimus Alive, takes place in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, from July 12-14 with bands starting at 5 PM daily. The event sold out last year.
