Alicia Keys Launches Storytelling App For Kids

Alicia Keys has launched an animated app, The Journals of Mama and LeeLee, which tells the story of a grandmother, Mama Mae (based on Keys' own), and her granddaughter, LeeLee (based on Keys). The interactive story allows users to write in a journal, play piano or draw.

"The amazing part of this is it's completely inter-generational," the "Girl on Fire" singer told The Hollywood Reporter.

"It's about a daughter and her grandmother. It's something that a mother and child can experience together, siblings can experience together, something that a grandmother and a grandchild can experience together."

The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee is available at the Apple App Store for $3.99. The app also features an exclusive track from Keys called "Follow the Moon."
