Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus And Wife Expecting

Rascal Flatts bassist, Jay DeMarcus, and wife Allison have announced that they are preparing for the birth of their second child sometime this summer.

DeMarcus and Allison, a CMT correspondent, wed in 2004 and welcomed their first baby, Madeline Leigh, into the world in December of 2010.

The pair, speaking with theboot.com, said the pregnancy was not planned:

"This was definitely a huge surprise, but we're so thankful and excited that Maddie is going to have a brother or sister," Jay says. "We're really gonna have our hands full!"

Allison added that their daughter is looking forward to having a sibling:

"Jay and I are thrilled about completing our family . . . Madeline is going to love having a sibling, and we are bracing ourselves for the many sleepless nights ahead."
