Celebrating Survivors:
"Great progress has been made in the fight against breast cancer. The five-year survival rate for breast cancer, when caught before it spreads beyond the breast, is now 98 percent. And, there is even more to celebrate. America's 2.3 million breast cancer survivors are now the largest group of cancer survivors in the U.S. Each survivor is a living testament to the power of what we can do as a community to save lives. Yet, each survivor has his or her own story. Join the FM100 Morning Show as we Race for the Cure and share the stories of our neighbors, family, and friends who are Breast Cancer survivors in Utah." The Story Behind I Choose Life by Amy Barnett
" I Choose Life came from a place inside me I don't quite understand. Breast cancer is not a disease that haunts my family. But from some powerful draw it came to be and has now grown into a CD of inspirational songs. With the genius music writing and production of Rob Honey and the wonderful voice of Kerri Ewing a wonderful project came to be and it would be nothing without them. The new album, Whether Moments or Years, is a musical compilation of original songs to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. Kerri Ewing and her band will be performing these songs and others from 8-12 at the Race for the Cure, on May 10th.
