According to Deadline, New Line Cinema is developing the untitled project with Brett Ratner's RatPac Entertainment and producer Jon Shestack. Carey is said to play "a major role" in the film as well as the soundtrack, which will also includes songs from different artists.

A new book about Beyoncé has been issued a release date.
